HCBS Settings Rule: Fact or Fiction.

Employment and Community Integration Training and Technical Assistance Center at Utah State University is hosting a training designed for Medicaid funded Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Waiver recipients (those receiving residential and non-residential services) and their families to learn about the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services settings rule. The Disability Law Center will present information about the intent and scope of the settings rule and how it is designed to ensure that the individuals receiving Medicaid funded HCBS are provided with opportunities to have meaningful community integration and choice.

Provider Transformation Series -

Center for Human Services

The TA Center is hosting a webinar ( online only) on provider transformation. This transformation story comes for the Center for Human Services (CHS), based out of Sedalia, Missouri. In 1955, the Crippled Children's Center was founded as a cooperative service model by a group of innovative community members. The Center began with one teacher and nine children and has grown to be the Center for Human Services today, serving over 5,000 children and adults with disabilities and their families in 38 counties in Central Missouri. CHS provides provides services and supports in four distinct areas: Family and Child Development, Employment Services, Community Living, and Service Coordination. CHS is an APSE Award-Winning organization for its practices in Employment First.
